We meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010 and the accessibility regulations (Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018).
- UK Equality Act 2010UK law that consolidates anti-discrimination legislation and protects people from unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation across protected characteristics; includes the Public Sector Equality Duty for public bodies.
- Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018UK regulations requiring public sector websites and mobile apps to meet accessibility requirements (aligned to WCAG) and publish an accessibility statement; in force since 23rd September 2018.
Compliance Status
The
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. There are
three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Fully conformant means that
the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
This website is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.2 Level AAA standard due to the following exceptions:
- Some third-party content may not be fully accessible
- PDFs published before September 2018 may not meet accessibility standards
